The Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter accepted an invitation from Samantha Muffoletto – President, Women In Defense (WID) and the fundraiser committee’s leadership team to volunteer at their Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon Fundraiser on October 31, 2023. Gold Star moms Paula Davis, Theresa Karlson, Synthia Carter, and Stephanie White, served alongside other volunteers. They greeted guests, sold raffle tickets for the beautifully wrapped theme baskets, and assisted with other tasks. Additionally, raffle tickets were also sold along with a 50/50 raffle. The proceeds from the basket and other raffles will be donated to the Upper Chesapeake Health Cancer LifeNet organization. The keynote speaker was Ms. Rosanna T. Dinh, CRNP Breast Center Nurse Practitioner, at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. She provided a variety of information about breast cancer and also answered attendees’ questions after her presentation. The Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter was a Gold Sponsor ($500).
