Mountain Branch Golf Course once again hosted the 19th Annual Golf Tournament presented by Parsons Corporation in support of TAPS. More than 100 golfers participated in the event, which featured a “Beat the Pro” challenge along the course. LPGA professional Shasta Averyhardt kindly took on the golfers’ challenge. Also in attendance were Gold Star wife Maggie Bainbridge; Gold Star mothers Janice Chance and Mary Wiley; and Gold Star parents Garry and Yvonne Green. Tributes honoring the Gold Star families’ fallen heroes were displayed at various holes throughout the course. TAPS founder Bonnie Carroll and her team, Jessica and Justin, were gracious hosts to the invited guests. Golfers and Gold Star Families enjoyed breakfast and lunch provided by Mission BBQ. It was a truly beautiful day filled with golf, food, fun, and fellowship.
