On July 20, 2026, the Maryland Gold Star Mothers were very proud and honored to volunteer with the Nation’s Capital Chef’s Association (NCCA) 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Crofton Country Club located in Crofton, Maryland. Proceeds from this wonderful event went to Warrior Events. We are forever grateful to Mark Humphries, Bob Saunders, John O’Leary, Paige Havens, and the rest of the Wounded Warrior Team for their continued support of our Veterans and Gold Star Families. Gold Star Moms, Paula Davis, Yvonne Green, and Gold Spouse Gary Green, Joy Goode, Elsheba Kahn, Theresa Karlson, Janice Chance, Basmattie Bishundat, Donna Robinson, and Stephanie White assisted with registration, raffles, and placing complimentary items in golf carts. Kelly Swanson, President of The Volunteer Chapter of Tennessee AGSM also attended. Maryland Gold Star First VP and Chaplain Janice said a prayer prior to the golfers being given the signal to start the tournament. A great time was had by all, and we look forward to assisting NCAA in the years ahead!
