Gold Star Mothers and family members were invited by Mr. Neil Hamrick, Fundraiser Chairman and Committee of the Annual Marathon Bluegrass Jam to volunteer at their special event. The Maryland Marathon Jam committee invited local bands to participate in 8 hours of non-stop bluegrass music. Janice Chance and Donna Robinson represented the MD Chapter. They partnered with Marathon Jam Committee lead coordinator Amy Kriner along with her team of Leidos and Zeteo Tech, volunteers. Janice and Donna served during the evening shift. They assisted with the money wheel prize table, distribution of gifts and other duties. In addition to volunteering the MD Chapter also donated $500.00. The moms also seized the opportunity to thank the veterans and their family. Everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship, and the great music helped provide an atmosphere of excitement.
