On October 4, 2023, Maryland Gold Star Mothers Paula Davis, Theresa Karlson, Basmattie Bishundat, Stephanie White and Massachusetts Gold Star Mother, Tracy Taylor attended a dinner that was sponsored by The Send Me Outdoors organization. A picture frame containing their loved one’s picture and bios were at the tables.
The Inaugural Send Me Outdoors Charity Golf Tournament took place on October 5, 2023 at The Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville Maryland. Maryland Gold Star Mothers Paula Davis, Theresa Karlson, Basmattie Bishundat and Stephanie White along with Massachusetts Gold Star Mother Tracy Taylor were at the event. Their loved one’s pictures and bios were placed at each of the 18 holes along with other fallen heroes. CFO Benjamin Willhite is one of the co-founders of the organization Send Me Outdoors, which provides opportunities for military and law enforcement veterans to participate in acts of service and activities in an outdoor setting. The Maryland Chapter looks forward to providing support for future events.
