The Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter was invited to the annual Warrior Events Christmas Party held at the Naval Academy Alumni Foundation in Annapolis, Maryland. Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Paula Davis, Joy Goode, Theresa Karlson, Donna Robinson, Stephanie White, Gold Star Dads, Charlton Chance, Greg Goode and families enjoyed an evening of fellowship and meeting new friends. Several warriors, Gold Star families and their guests were treated to a delicious meal catered by Bo Brooks and enjoyed listening and dancing to various music provided by DJ Kevin Shook. The adults and children were pleasantly surprised by a special visit from the big elf himself, Santa! Each child received a special gift from Santa. Towards the end of the evening, three handmade items were raffled off for the Moms. The winner of the crocheted scarf went to Julie El-Taher, the winner of the quilted blanket went to Paula Davis and the crocheted white with gold star blanket went to Theresa Karlson. Warrior Events also gifted the Moms with a beautiful star ornament. Many thanks to Warrior Events, Bob Saunders, John O’Leary, Mark Humphries and Paige Havens for organizing and inviting the Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter to this wonderful event. We look forward to working and volunteering with Warrior Events on future service projects.
