The Maryland Gold Star Mothers were invited to attend the 46th Annual Military Appreciation Month Luncheon sponsored by The Harford County Chamber of Commerce, which was held at Top of The Bay located at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The premier sponsor of the event was Freedom Federal Credit Union. Chosen Development Group and Ourisman Toyota 40 were the Gold Star Sponsors.
Following a delicious lunch, all Active Duty and Veterans, along with the Gold Star Mothers and Spouses were recognized. The Harford County Executive, Robert Cassilly welcomed the Gold Star Families and discussed how Harford County and Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), work together for the people of the community as well as the military. Major General Robert L. Edmonson III, Senior Commander, Aberdeen Proving Ground, and is Commanding General U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, followed with remarks. The keynote speaker was Cheryl Rawls, who is the Executive Director of Veterans Benefits Administration.
Gold Star Moms, Janice Chance, Donna Robinson, Joy Goode, Yvonne Green, Elsheba Kahn, Stephanie White and Gold Star Dads, Garry Green and Gregg Goode were among the Gold Star Families and guests attending the event.
