Julie Goldberg, Community Development Programs Assistant for The Baltimore Orioles extended an invitation to The Gold Star Mothers, Maryland Chapter to attend The Mother’s Day Baseball Game on May 14, 2023, that was sponsored by the Military Suites Program. Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Donna Robinson, Rosemarie CEO, Yvonne Green, Gloria Crothers, Stephanie White, Sheba Khan and their guests including Gold Star Sibling Jenine Melton and the Charles County Veterans Affairs Commissioner attended the game. Each guest received an Orioles military-themed item and the opportunity to participate in a pregame player meet-and-greet event. There was also an in-game welcome for The Maryland Gold Star Mothers. Everyone enjoyed the great fellowship, delicious catered food and rooting for the Orioles team.
Unfortunately, the Orioles lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0.
