On September 5, 2026, The Blue Star Families Maryland Chapter and the Maryland Gold Star Mothers collaborated on an activity to bring the two organizations together as they support the military families in Maryland. The Maryland Gold Star Mothers provided generous financial and volunteer support to The Blue Star Families Maryland Chapter enabling them to host the STE(A)M Extravaganza event at The National Museum of Railroad History and Innovation located in Baltimore Maryland. Maryland Gold Star Mothers, Janice Chance, Donna Robinson, Stephanie White and Joy Goode attended the fun event and interacted with more than 200 families as they were able to enjoy the museum, ride the train, and have fun with stem activities. The families were provided with “gift bags” and really enjoyed their time at The National Museum of Railroad History and Innovation.
