American Legion Post 60 Laurel MD hosted MCVET for a fun-filled day of bingo, softball, and a steak lunch. Gold Star Mothers & Dad – Janice Chance, Paula Davis, Yvonne & Garry Green, Theresa Karlson, and Stephanie White, arrived early on Saturday the 21st at American Legion Post 60 to begin set-up for what promised to be a delightful day for the MCVET Veterans from Baltimore, Md. The Moms helped to set up for the luncheon and assisted in food prep while Gold Star Dad had door duty at the Post. After all preparations were completed, the Gold Star Moms & Dad along with Post 60 Commander Lohman, Dept. Commander David Heredia, Post 60’s ALR, Aux, and SAL American Legion Post 60 Family went outside to greet the Vets with the Flag Line Ceremony for the event. The Veterans were welcomed as they stepped off the bus and escorted inside. They feasted on a delicious Steak lunch with all the fixings and an assortment of delightful desserts. It was a wonderful day and the smiles on the Veteran’s faces were priceless! Thank you Post 60 for all you do for our Veterans. Thank you for the opportunity to serve our Veterans. It was an honor and a privilege.
