Maryland Gold Star Mothers were invited to a Day of Service in Honor of Veterans Day. Gold Star Mothers Basmattie Bishundat and Paula Davis joined MD Delegate Dana Jones in partnership with the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs for a clean-up and beautification of the World War II Memorial. 50 volunteers showed up and over 70-yard waste bags of leaves were collected so that the memorial could be clean for the observance of Veterans Day. It was a beautiful, fun Fall day.
