On Friday, June 9, 2023, the Marine Barracks Washington hosted another amazing Friday Evening Parade. The Maryland Chapter Gold Star Mothers were invited by the United States Marine Corps Commandant and Mrs. David H. Berger to attend the VIP Reception and Evening Parade at the Marine Barracks in Washington, DC. Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Paula Davis, and Donna Robinson attended. During the reception, the Gold Star Mothers were recognized by the Commandant. The event started with a lovely backyard reception at the Commandants House and then onto the field for the spectacular parade. The hosting official for the evening was Gen. David H. Berger, the 38th Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps, and the guests of honor were Gen. James C. McConville, Chief of Staff of the Army, Admiral Michael Gilday, Chief of Naval Operations, Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr., Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and Gen. Chance Saltzman, Chief of Space Operation.
