The ceremony was held on a beautiful countryside property in Rising Sun, Maryland. Gold Star Mother Joy Goode of the Maryland Chapter was honored to speak at the ceremony.
George J. Turak, Vice President of the Mount America Foundation, and his wife, Michelle, graciously welcomed us into their home.
The Soldiers’ Cross was presented to Robert Cavalier, President of the Union League of Philadelphia. The Cross will be placed at Founding Forward near the Medal of Honor Grove in Valley Forge, where it will serve as a lasting tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes.
