Susan Kern, Voluntary Service Officer/Program Manager of the VA Maryland Health Care System requested that the Maryland Chapter provide birthday gifts to our Heroes whose birthdays are in the month of March. The Maryland Chapter was extremely happy to assist! The Maryland Chapter purchased gifts for eight Heroes. The gifts included a pull over sweater, neck pillow, blanket, snacks, Marine and Army hats, lotions, and sweatpants. There was a very special gift as one of Heroes requested flowers for his wife, so sweet!! This was the second time that the Maryland Chapter was able to supply birthday presents for our Heroes in the VA and we look forward to continuing to do so in the future.
