The members of the Dewey Lowman Post 109 American Legion hosted The Gold Star Mothers Dinner on May 17, 2026. Gold Star mothers, Theresa Karlson, Janice Chance, Rosemarie Ceo, Yvonne Green, Joy Goode, Stephanie White and Donna Robinson were in attendance. Carolyn Hyatt, President, Dewey Lowman Auxiliary Unit 109, acknowledged the Gold Star Mothers. Steve Greig, Commander Dewey Lowman SAL Post 109 spoke about his experience with Gold Star Mothers. Theresa Karlson spoke about the Gold Star Mothers mission and history. The Mothers displayed photos of their fallen loved ones on a table and were encouraged to talk about their loved ones. Chuck Marshall, First Vice Commander presented The Maryland Gold Star Mothers Chapter with a $3,000 Check. This generous donation received will enable the Maryland Chapter to continue to fulfill their mission as they strive to carry on the legacy of their Heroes.
