ICommunity Connection Services Thanksgiving Baskets Giveaway American Legion Post 141 Annapolis, Maryland November 20, 2021

Maryland Chapter Gold Star Mothers,  Gold Star family members and other volunteers were invited by the ICommunity Connection Services (ICCS) organization leaders Ms. Gloria D. Dent, Founder & Chairman of the Board and Ms. Kia Chandler, CEO to volunteer at their special  “Free Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway Event”. The baskets were gifted to Recovering Service Members, Veterans and Gold Star Families. The ICCS leaders worked closely with Pastor Duckett’s “Leading by Feeding” ministry that was led by Ms. Tyra Allen and Reverend Thomas as per Ms. Chandler their assistance helped to make the event run smoothly.

Maria Chambers, Gold Star mother represented the MD Chapter. She was joined by Peatoria Perdue, Gold Star Niece, LT Meshondra Collins U.S Navy, Perioperative Nurse Corps Officer and Nurse Manager of the Intensive care units at the VA Medical Health Care Center Baltimore, MD, Clinton Battle Jr., son of an Army Veteran and Ms. Voncile Farmer, Casualty/Survivor Benefit Plan Representative Airmen & Family Readiness Center (AFRC) Fort George G. Meade, MD along with other volunteers that assisted. Although it was a cold day, it did not hinder the teamwork and basket distribution.  The volunteers served with a smile and they received many thanks from the service members, veterans, Gold Star Families and also from the ICC leadership team.   Several local legislators also stopped by to greet veterans, gold star families and to thank the coordinators and volunteers.
