VA Medical Center Baltimore, Maryland September 15, 2026

The 100-Hour National Challenge from AGSM was successfully accepted and completed today at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, by members of the Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter.

Theresa Karlson, Janice Chance and Basmattie Bishundat spent the morning delivering handmade thank-you cards created by students from a local school to Veterans residing on three floors of the medical center. The Veterans greatly appreciated the thoughtful gestures and expressed their gratitude for the visit from the Gold Star Mothers. In addition to sharing cards and conversation, the Maryland Chapter donated much-needed supplies, including socks, utility carts, coffee pods, creamer, and sugar. These contributions will help support the comfort and well-being of Veterans receiving care at the facility.

The visit provided an opportunity to honor and thank these American Heroes for their service while bringing encouragement and community support to those residing at the VA Medical Center.
