Maryland Chapter Gold Star Mothers Rosemarie Ceo, Donna Robinson, Janice Chance, Yvonne J Green, Joy Goode, and Gold Star sibling Xavier Roberts & Earl Ruff, Jr Commandant of the US Marine Corps League Baltimore Detachment were invited to the Annual American Legion Birthday Party & HDG Living War Memorial Fundraiser at American Legion Post 47 in Havre de Grace. Larry Parker Commander and Gold Star wife and Chapter President, Danielle Charles also attended this fun event.
The event was a USO Style Show featuring as their entertainment for the night Rosie Jack & the Bangtails. The fundraiser’s theme and dress for the night were from the 1940’s era. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal followed by Big Band songs and dance. A surprise for all came from Gold Star Mom Joy Goode singing Happy Birthday in her Marilyn Monroe rendition to Gold Star wife and Chapter President Danielle Charles who was celebrating her birthday that evening. Maryland Gold Star Mothers enjoyed this wonderful evening and hope to attend upcoming events in the future.
