David Heredia, Commander, Dept. of MD gave the opening remarks.  A Community Address was given by Alex Whitney, MCVET Board Chairman, followed by a Presentation from Boeing.  Congressman Mfume, Dist. 7 gave the closing remarks.

The residents received a variety of gifts from the Organizations that were in attendance. The Gold Star Mothers presented gifts from an MCVET Wish List and gift cards for their female residents.

After dinner, the residents and staff sang Twelve Days of Christmas which resulted in much laughter.

The annual MCVET event brings much joy, not only to the residents but also to the staff, family members of the residents, and of course to the Gold Star Moms. During the holiday season, it’s a blessing to see our heroes smile after being showered with love. The Maryland Chapter members are committed to supporting them as they continue to work toward their goal of completing the program that will enable them to transition back into their community as productive citizens.
