On September 17, 2022, The Maryland Gold Star Mothers were invited to attend The 2022 Joint Base Andrews Air and Space Expo which was also the Air Force’s 75th Birthday. Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Paula Davis, Donna Robinson, Stephanie White, Khadidja Keita, Gloria Crothers, Basmattie Bishundat and Julie El-Taher represented the chapter along with their guests. The Maryland Gold Star Mothers received VIP treatment, allowing them to be in the Commanders tent which provided a spectacular view of aerial performances including The U.S. Air Demonstration Thunderbirds, World War II and Korean era aircraft, The F-35 Lightning II Demo Team, U.S. Army Parachute Team, Golden Knights and much more.
