The Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter members were invited to attend the Baltimore Orioles game versus the Colorado Rockies on July 25, 2025 and to receive a donation check. Janice Chance and Theresa Karlson were invited onto the field to receive the check during the pre-game events. Much to their surprise, the check was in the amount of $15,000! The fans and the Orioles organization applauded us as we received the gracious donation.
Other members in attendance were Tracy Miller and Paul Arnest, Joy and Greg Goode, Donna Robinson, Stephanie White, Yvonne Green, Peggy Chance and Willis Bazin. Even though the Orioles did not get a win that evening, the Moms and their guests enjoyed the evening together.
We truly appreciate the Orioles and their Community Engagement Department by nominating us to receive this wonderful donation, which will be used to support our active-duty military, Veterans and their families as well as our local communities. Let’s Go O’s!
