Maryland Gold Star Mothers joined Elks Club members and their families at the annual Pickin 4 Troops fundraiser, a day of music, fellowship, and gratitude at Elks Camp Barrett. Proceeds from the event support Maryland, Virginia, and DC Veterans Programs, as well as Fisher House. Theresa Karlson, Janice Chance, Charlton Chance, and our special friends from Truckin4Troops, Lynne and Scott Mallary, attended. Volunteers served delicious food, beverages, desserts, and a whole pig while guests enjoyed several bluegrass bands. Additional funds were raised through a live auction and raffles. Many thanks to Stu Burgoon and Ken Chapman for organizing this fun and meaningful event.
