Chuck Ritz, Founder of Hope & Peace Foundation, creator of The Maryland 9/11Rolling Memorial and America’s 9/11 Living Classroom invited Maryland Gold Star Mothers to be Honorary Ride Captains in the 10th Annual 9/11 Memorial Ride. Approximately 1,100 bikes and 1,500 riders participated in the ride that included beautiful scenery of Harford and Baltimore Counties. Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Donna Robinson, Theresa Karlson, Rosemarie Ceo, Tracy Miller, Yvonne Green, Jeanette Middleton Sudano, Gloria Crothers, Geraldine Pepper and Michelle Murphy participated in the ride as well as read the names of those Marylanders who perished on September 11, 2001. Maria Chambers also joined the group at McAvoys where the ride concluded. As Chuck posted on his Facebook page, “The only thing that I say can is that on Saturday it showed that WE have not forgotten 9/11 and will NEVER FORGET that tragic day and the lives lost”. He also extended an invitation to visit America’s 9/11 Living Classroom at 1320 innovation Street in Middle River off of Rt 43. Sunday the 19 and 26th from 11-5pm admission is free. We are also private tours in the evenings after 5pm for 15 or more. We would like to thank Chuck Ritz, as well as Scott and Lynne Mallary of Truckin4Troops, who provided transportation to our Gold Star families to the start of the ride. Everyone had a wonderful time and we are truly grateful for those who continue to support the mission to NEVER FORGET!
