The Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) Annapolis Chapter sponsored a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Community Service Project to celebrate his birthday and to carry on his legacy of selfless service. The TMF chapter selected the American Legion Post 141 to be the recipient of their service. Per Douglas Keel, TMF Annapolis Chapter leader, the Post has been a meeting place for WWII, Korean War, Vietnam and Global War on Terrorism Veterans. The MD Chapter members were invited to participate. Janice Chance represented the MD Chapter. The volunteers performed a variety of duties that included clearing a portion of a large lot, laying ground work for a new flagstaff and painting the meeting hall. It was a wonderful day to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
