Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Paula Davis, Theresa Karlson, and Donna Robinson recently went toy shopping for Heroes Pub’s Annual Toy Drive. This wonderful effort supports the children of military patients receiving care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The day began at the Target in Annapolis, where the Gold Star Moms quickly filled two carts with toys. While shopping, they were delighted to meet a Blue Star Family, including two young boys who eagerly stepped in as “toy experts.” Their enthusiasm, recommendations, and cheerful help made the experience even more special.
After wrapping up their shopping, the moms delivered the toys to Heroes Pub in Annapolis, one of the drive’s drop-off locations. To their great surprise and gratitude, Warrior Events Mark Humphries treated them to lunch at the restaurant. Special thanks go to @Warrior Events and beloved friend, Bob Saunders, for bringing everyone together and supporting this effort.
The Maryland Gold Star Mothers hope these gifts bring joy and comfort to the children and families who will receive them this holiday season.
