Mrs. Rosalind Gray, Voluntary Service Specialist – Center for Development & Civic Engagement at the VA Maryland Health Care System provided the Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter with a wish list of baby items that were requested for the Women’s Veterans Annual baby shower. Their goal is to assemble approximately 50 gift baby bags and special bags for the moms.
The shower is scheduled to be held on July 19, 2025. The Maryland Chapter purchased a variety of the requested gift items that included diapers, baby bath essentials, bathtubs, bibs, and other items for the new infants. Janice Chance, who is a regularly scheduled VA volunteer, delivered the gift items with the assistance of Mrs. Gray to the Women’s Health Clinic on April 16, 2025. Dr. Siobhan D. Kirksey, Women Veteran Program Manager expressed her appreciation for the gifts and for the Maryland Chapter mom’s willingness to volunteer at the shower.
