Wanda Riddle, Vice President and Vice Chair of The Howard County Veterans Foundation invited The Maryland Gold Star Mothers Chapter to attend the unveiling of the design for The Howard County Veterans and Military Families Monument. Maryland Gold Star Mother President along with Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Theresa Karlson, Donna Robinson and Stephanie White attended the ceremony that took place at The Millie Bailey Park in Columbia Maryland. Janice Chance was interviewed by Baltimore WMAR-2 ABC NEWS. Local politicians and VSO organizations including Howard County Executive, Calvin Ball, Congressman Sarbanes and American Legion Post 156 were among the speakers at the event. The completed monument will recognize and celebrate Howard County’s veterans and military families.
