On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Wreaths Across America sponsored their 4th Annual
Charity Golf Tournament at The Waverly Woods Golf Course located in
Marriottsville, Maryland. Excited golfers came out to play in the golf tournament.
Larry Accord, US Army Veteran and coordinator of this event allowed The Maryland
Chapter, Gold Star Mothers Donna Robinson, Janice Chance and Stephanie White
to assist at the event. Maryland Gold Star Mother Janice Chance gave a speech
about the Maryland Chapter Gold Star Mothers and her son Captain Jesse Melton
III. The Maryland Gold Star Mothers also sponsored a hole for this golf tournament.
The delicious lunch was provided by OSCARS Ale House Restaurant located in
Woodstock Maryland. Money was raised that will allow Wreaths Across America to
purchase wreaths to lay on the graves of heroes resting in Maryland Veteran’s
Cemeteries. National Wreaths Across America Day will be December 13, 2025. We
are thankful for Wreaths Across America and their continued support of our Veterans,
Gold Star Mothers and their families. The Maryland Chapter looks forward to
providing support for next years 5th Annual Golf Tournament.
