Each Mother and her Hero were honored in the Pre-Game Ceremony. The Pre-Game included On-Field Recognition of the Moms and their Heroes, as well as participating in other game-day festivities. Theresa Karlson announced the Line Delivery and delivered the line-up card to the Home Plate umpire with a National Player at the start of the game, Paula Davis was the “Play Ball” Announcer, and Janice Chance & Donna Robinson were the Finish Line Holders. The Nationals did a Presidents Race with their mascots and Janice and Donna held the finish line for them to run through. Everyone enjoyed the great fellowship, delicious food, and rooting for the Nationals team. Unfortunately, the Nationals lost to the Seattle Mariners 9-5. It was a very special and memorable day!
