On July 4, 2025, Maryland Gold Star Mother Chapter Secretary, Stephanie White, was very honored to present Mr. Clarence Lewis, a Vietnam Veteran with one of the Maryland Chapter’s Vietnam 50th Anniversary Chapter Challenge Coins, a Veterans pin, and other Marine Corp Memorabilia, to remind Clarence that his military service will never be forgotten. Clarence served in the US Marine Corp from August 1967 to February 1969. His rank was Corporal. The jobs that he performed in the Marine Corp were Infantry, Machine Gunner and Flame Thrower. He received the National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and The Sharpe Shooter Rifle Badge. His three sons, Clarence Lewis III, Jamier Fowlkes, RoShaud Lewis and wife Lillie Lewis were very proud that Clarence received special recognition for his Vietnam Military Service. This special event also included Clarence’s birthday celebration.
