The Gold Star Mothers – Maryland Chapter was invited to participate in the Operation Gratitude Assembly Day. Operation Gratitude is on a mission to honor the service of our Military and First Responders by creating opportunities to express gratitude. Operation Gratitude provides opportunities for the American people to express their gratitude and show our Military and First Responders that we care. Janice Chance and Paula Davis represented the Gold Star Mothers – Maryland Chapter. They joined volunteers at the University Center to assemble 5,000 Operation Gratitude Care Packages that will be distributed to Military and First Responder Heroes. The Care Packages were filled with wonderful items donated by generous companies. These Care Packages are a reminder to those who serve the Americans across the nation that they are supported and appreciated for their service and sacrifice. This event is part of Operation Gratitude’s grassroots movement to forge strong bonds between grateful Americans and their Military and First Responder Heroes through volunteer service projects, acts of gratitude, and meaningful engagements in communities nationwide. Paula and Janice were fulfilling the Gold Star Mothers’ mission, “Honoring Through Service.”
