HUD 2024 Veterans Day Ceremony November 7, 2024 Washington, DC

On Thursday, November 7, 2024, HUD sponsored The Annual Veterans Day Program at their Headquarters in Washington, DC.  The program theme was “Legacy of Loyalty and Service.”

Gold Star Mothers, Janice Chance, Paula Davis, Donna Robinson, and Stephanie White were in attendance.  The program began with a Toll of Bells.  A presentation of colors was presented by The United States Air Force Honor Guard Color Guard Color Guard.   A Tribute to Our Veterans was played by The United States Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team.  There was a Call To Action from Olivia Nunn, United States Army, Retired, Olivia Nunn Communications, LLC.  Special Remarks were delivered by The Honorable Kimberly McClain, United States Air Force Reserves, Retired, Assistant Secretary Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations United States, Department of Housing and Urban Development. The keynote Speaker was Janie Mines, United States Navy, Veteran, SES Retired, Department of the Navy. The Gold Star Mothers participated in the Memorial Wreath Ceremony. Taps was played by Eric Larson, Civilian Bugler, Bugles Across America.  We look forward to participating in the Ceremony every year, alongside the HUD veterans, as tribute is paid to all veterans and veteran’s family members for their immense contributions to our nation.
