CHOSEN CDC held their Annual Volunteer Appreciation Gala on August 8, 2025 at the Water’s Edge Event Center. The Awards went from Bronze to Silver to Gold. Maryland Gold Star Mother’s Joy Goode and Yvonne J. Green graciously accepted the invitation to attend the Gala. The Keynote speaker for the evening was The Honorable Dr. Cashenna A. Cross, H.C. is a retired U.S. Air Force Intelligence Officer with over 20 years of distinguished service, former Mayor and current Councilmember At- Large of Glenarden, Maryland. She has also received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Medal given by the Biden Administration. Also, on deck receiving the Presidential Volunteer Service Award Recognition was Founder of CHOSDN CDC Dr. Pastor James C. Williams, Sr. which was also given by the Biden Administration.
