Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter members were invited to participate in the Bourbiz: Veteran Impact Conference by Olivia Nunn Lt Col, US Army (Ret), Chief of Marketing, Director of Bourbiz Veteran Success Resource Group.
As shared by Lieutenant Colonel Nunn, the purpose of the conference was to bring together service members, business leaders, hiring companies, and resource providers for a high-impact day of learning, connection, and opportunity. Janice Chance, Paula Davis, and Donna Robinson represented the MD Chapter.
The moms seized the opportunity to share information about the Gold Star Mothers Maryland Chapter’s mission and their fallen heroes with veterans, representatives from Veteran Service Organizations and other veteran resource service organizations. The moms also had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Rochelle Hemingway US AF veteran. They presented her with one of the MD Chapter’s customized 50th Anniversary Vietnam Veterans challenge coins in honor of her deceased father, Fred Douglas King, US Air Force. After the conference a networking reception was hosted by Lieutenant Colonel Nunn and her team. The reception was the ideal environment for participants to enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres,connect with veterans and other resource providers. The Maryland Chapter members are looking forward to participating again next year.
