Baltimore Station Volunteer Event Joint Gold Star Maryland Chapter and Blue Star Families Baltimore, Maryland May 15, 2025

Maryland Gold Star Mothers Janice Chance, Paula Davis, and Donna Robinson had the privilege of joining forces with Blue Star Families Baltimore & Chesapeake Chapter volunteers to serve the veteran residents at The Baltimore Station. Side by side in the kitchen, we prepped, laughed, and then sat down to break bread together. The experience created a deep sense of connection, community, and belonging.  At the Baltimore Station, a meal is more than just food—it’s an opportunity to build community. Bringing people together, one meal at a time.

Many residents were especially happy to chat with Blue Star military-connected team members who truly understood the places they’ve been and the paths they’ve walked.  These moments remind us that service doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off—and that small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact.  Many Veterans wanted to talk about their Military service and were happy to have someone listen to them.

Thank you to The Baltimore Station for providing the opportunity to serve and connect in such a meaningful way. It was a pleasure to serve alongside Blue Star Families and the Baltimore Station staff.  We honor our fallen heroes by serving veterans and others through service.  We look forward to future collaborations and continued partnership with Blue Star Families, Baltimore & Chesapeake Chapter.
