On October 23, 2024, Maryland Gold Star Mothers, Stephanie White and Janice Chance attended a Pre-Tournament Banquet that was sponsored by The Send Me Outdoors Organization at The Blackwall Barn & Lodge in Gambrills Maryland. A picture frame containing Gold Star Families loved one’s pictures and bios were at the tables. Janice Chance gave a speech about The Maryland Gold Star Mothers Organization.
The Send Me Outdoors 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament took place on October 24, 2024 at The Cannon Club located in Lothian, Maryland. Maryland Gold Star Mothers Paula Davis, Theresa Karlson, Stephanie White and Janice Chance assisted at the event. Gold Star Families loved one’s pictures and bios were placed at each of the 18 holes along with other fallen heroes. CFO Benjamin Willhite is one of the co-founders of the organization Send Me Outdoors, which provides opportunities for active duty military, first responders and veterans to develop strong social connections while enhancing their physical, mental and emotional well-being through acts of service and activities in an outdoor setting. The Maryland Chapter looks forward to providing support for future events.
