Maryland Gold Star Mothers were invited to the 8th Annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans, hosted by Gilcrest, at Martins West in Baltimore, Maryland. Gold Star Mothers Joy Goode, Janice Chance, and Donna Robinson represented the Maryland Chapter. The moms were honored to be seated at a table with Vietnam Veterans. Lt. General R. Scott Dingle, US Army (Ret.), spoke in support and assistance for our veterans. Joan Goldberg CEO, Boulder Crest Foundation spoke on post-traumatic growth. The Keynote speaker was Vietnam Veteran, Karl Mariantes. Mr. Mariantes spoke about his life experiences during military service and his life afterwards. Colonel John C Astie, USMC (Ret.) led the closing remarks. The Maryland Gold Star Mothers were honored to welcome home the Vietnam Veterans. The hall was full of Vietnam Veterans, family and friends.
